Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a family of musicians. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to traditional music, boleros from the past along with the traditional ballads of ranchero and romance. Ana loves the operas and tangos. In addition, she is a fan of dramatic performances. She was taught by her mother to sing, however she started singing by Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when the singer was famous as a Mexican opera Tenor. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. The singer performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young student and professional. In the years following her relocation to The United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present place in southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. The passion and love she has for the arts, music, as well as performing, keeps her active with a variety of local initiatives as a teacher and performer. Ana is also a past member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able communicate with other people her love of traditional Latin American music. She is hoping that it will encourage younger generations to help keep the traditional music going.
